Warehouse Supervisor (2nd shift 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.)

 

Supervise and coordinate activities of associates in a warehouse environment.  Responsible for ensuring productivity standards are achieved.  Directly supervises approximately 12 – 54 associates.  Responsible for interviewing, training and disciplinary action issues.

 

Key Tasks

  • Supervise training and development to assure goals are met.
  • Motivate associates to obtain quality and productivity goals.
  • Schedule vacation and monitor absenteeism.
  • Use MS Office programs including word, excel, and access, including WMS and BaaN Systems.
  • Building security, safety, facility crisis communication programs
  • Maintain facility housekeeping and adhere to corporate safety guidelines.
  • Lead and manage workforce for most cost effective, efficient and quality conscious methods.
  • Interact with hourly workforce, management and support staff to optimize continuous improvement process and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain building contents and associates in a safe and secure manner.
  • Adhere to company policies, practices, and procedures including ISO standards.
  • Responsibility of the inventory ensuring accuracy of counts and dollars.
  • Contact freight company’s daily to ensure pick-ups.
  • Oversee incoming / outgoing shipments and receiving activities to ensure accuracy, completeness and condition of shipments.
  • Inspect material handling equipment for defects.
  • Adjusts errors and complaints.
  • Plans layout of warehouse and other storage areas.
  • Trace history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records.
  • Determines work procedures, prepares work schedule and expedite workflow.
  • Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies.
  • Provides back up to the other warehouse supervisors in their absence.
  • Balance workforce based on daily workload needs with other department supervisors.
  • Develop, review and maintain performance standards through a variety of measures to include incentives, training and discipline.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide require feedback to associates.

 

Requirements

Bachelor degree
