JOB PROFILE:

Industry leading manufacturer offers a career-oriented opportunity is seeking a Materials Management guru with manufacturing and robust materials program management experience.
 In this career oriented position, you will:

·         Manage a materials management staff – focus on leadership and staff development
·         Provide both vision and direction involving effective materials planning, optimal inventory control, and flow of materials
·         Work cross functionally on projects to optimize materials handling in the manufacturing functions
·         Initiate process improvements and implementation to best support material flows in the manufacturing functions
·         Involvement with network flow design to enhance flow of materials in the manufacturing network

REQUIREMENTS:

·         Bachelor’s degree, advanced degree a plus
·         Proven materials management strategic leadership track record – one can develop the vision as well as carry it out
·         Multi-plant flow of materials experience
·         Staff leadership and development experience
·         Solid materials management experience – JIT, MRP, APICS, custom-build manufacturing environment
·         Strong systems knowledge – MRP, materials movement optimization, scheduling, purchasing and tracking component and product movements
·         Lean / Six Sigma manufacturing methodologies
·         Effective interpersonal and communication skills
